Lucille, shortened to Lucy and also sometimes called Luce, is a rodentborn rat archer trying to find her place in the world. She awakes one day, face down in the snow with almost zero recollection of her past. The only belongings on them being the dress on their body, some pocket change, and a snapped wooden shortbow off to the side. She sets off for the bright lights of a town just beyond the forest's clearing... She is a somewhat timid, rational, and slightly hotheaded rat who can be a bit of a know-it-all, insisting on being right and having the last word in any conversation. Every action she does is bound to be overthought by her, both before and after she does it. To those she does not know as well, she can come off as not rude, but also not exactly friendly. However, to those she does know well, she opens up a lot more and shows she can be quite the jokester and a bit of a sweetheart. To friends and strangers alike, though, it is not the hardest challenge to set her off, making her tone very snippy, very pouty, and very sarcastic. She is mainly guided by a want to prove herself in this world and learn how she ended up this way, along with how to find the path back home... if there even is one.

Upon taking more than 10% of your maximum health in one hit, you gain a stack of Endurance. Falling below 20% health decreases this threshold to 5% of your maximum health in one hit. Each stack increases your maximum health by 3% and decreases the amount of damage you take by 2%. Stacks up to 5 times. Stacks decay at a rate of 1 stack every 3 seconds after 10 seconds of not taking damage.
Trick Shot (Passive)
While in the air, your critical strike chance increases by 5% and critical strike damage by 10%.

Riley is a very athletic and competitive jackalope harekin hailing from Portland who constantly strives to be the best. He is a boxer and track runner, utilizing his great size, strength, and speed for both. When he is not hanging out with friends or adventuring, chances are he is either working out and practicing or currently competing, usually in boxing matches. He fights under the name of "Doppler" in the ring, and is well known for his quick reflexes and powerful punches. What really sets him apart from any other opponent is his training in magic, which he uses to enhance his physical abilities and give him an edge under the lights when in a ring that allows the use of it (or one that has no rules at all). He is also a natural leader, taking charge in almost any situation and always looking out for his friends, even if he doesn't like to admit that. They don't particularly enjoy being told what to do but can appreciate when someone else takes the reins and has a good plan. Riley has a fairly short temper, especially when it comes to losing, and can be quite a sore loser and shift the blame onto others. They take winning the same way and can be quite the showboat after they win and rub it in the faces of their opponents or even humiliate them (although he will usually apologize to them afterwards). It should be noted that he is also quite the flirt, always trying to hit on people and awe them with his strength and skills. Despite this, he is a deeply caring and loyal friend who will always have your back, no matter what. The goal that drives him in life is to become the greatest fighter and adventurer in all of Northreach.

A robot crash lands on our planet. The only things in its memory bank is that they're hurt, in a strange new world, and that the closest translatabe name is Amelia. Amelia is a very kind, but also very curious, robot. Found damaged and in need of repairs after a crash landing in the middle of a field, a skilled moth engineer helped get her back up to pristine condition. Her very advanced AI allows her to grasp the basics of a language just by hearing and watching someone speak a few words. It isn't perfect, and she doesn't fully understand all every single concept, but she tries her best. Her new primary function is to explore all that can be explored, and to be loved by friends (a new concept for her). Formerly both a power generator and a battery, the "lava lamp" chamber inside her allows her to turn fuels into weird alien "liquid" energy that appear similar to that of globules of a lava lamp that can then be transferred to the battery on her back. Fuel can be inputted through her face plate. She accepts both conventional fuel, such as coal and oil (and burns it cleanly!), but also organic fuels. It uses this energy to power herself and has ports that allow to send it elsewhere. She can also be charged up through her input port, but this is slower than just giving her fuel to burn.

Clara is the proud owner of the busiest potion shop in town, Arachne's Alchemy. She is a very bubbly alchemist with a mischievous streak, loving to toy with friends and enemies alike whenever the opportunity arises. Underneath her playful exterior lies an ambitious goal to become the greatest potion-maker this world has ever seen... even if she takes shortcuts doing it. Unlike most other Webcrawlers, her venom possesses a unique property: it can be used as a potent base for potionmaking. This allows her to create amazing concoctions at a fraction of the price, undercutting other nearby stores with little loss in quality. She keeps this secret close, brushing anyone off who asks with mentions of "trade secrets." Luckily, most people don't care about the origin all that much. She also has all the standard abilities other Webcrawlers possess. She can spin and spit webs from her fingertips and mouth, climb walls, and effortlessly hang upside down from ceilings. She uses her webs mainly as either part of designs like blankets and curtains, to trap unsuspecting enemies, or in combat. She is an amazing hunter, possessing high levels of stealth. Along with this, she wields twin daggers made in the shape of spider fangs, usually tipped with different kinds of poisons. She is patient, preferring to stalk her enemies and wait for the right moment to jump and strike her prey.

"Keep pushing, keep fighting. Things will never get better if we don't."
The Shadow Monarch. A dragonkin with immense, forbidden power, Lucalia (shortened to Luca sometimes) is the former head commander and heir to the throne of the Pyrehold Empire, an authoritarian regime that ruled over the land to the south with an iron fist. They were a fierce warrior along with being a brilliant tactician, and their power was unmatched. In the beginning, they lead over the army with a sense of justice and honor, but as time went on, they became more and more discontented with how their parents wished to rule and the strict rules they imposed on Luca's army, limiting their power. Shadow magic was (rightfully) feared by all, as it is the magic of Destruction itself. It was said that those who used it would be consumed by it, and that it would drive them to madness. As such, Lucalia's parents, the Emperor and Empress, strictly forbade the use of it even if it would grant their army an immense upperhand in any situation. Lucalia, however, was not one to be told what to do. They began to study the forbidden magic in secret, slowly training more and more of their troops in it. This culminated in the final battle of the Northreachean-Pyrehold War, where Lucalia performed a desperate ritual to infuse themselves and their troops with the pure power of the void, regardless of the potential consequence of breaking loose long-banished gods of Destruction. The ritual was mostly successful, but right near the end they lost control and had raw energy shot into their eye, morphing it and causing small tendrils to grow out of it. Their body was also permanently altered, their once golden scales, horns, claws, and eyes now a deep purple. Whispers of the void can be heard when in contact with them, tempting them to give in to the void and become its servant. It takes a lot of effort and concentration to keep them from losing their willpower and turning against their friends. Ultimately, they lost the battle and were forced to retreat back to the Pyrehold Empire, where they were sentenced for execution and stripped of their title and rank. Escaping certain death, they fled to the Serpent's Spine for many years where they attempted to find who they were again and to control the void within them. Wanted for high treason, they had no choice but to start a new life in Northreach, settling down in the town of Mapleton, their ultimate desire to find a path to redemption and to seal away the corruption they brought upon the world. A very stoic and serious dragonkin, Lucalia's no-nonsense attitude and strict adherence to their own code of honor make them a formidable ally and a fearsome enemy, usually taking on the role of the main tactician in a group. Despite rarely showing emotion, they are fiercely protective of their friends and will do anything to keep them safe, even if it means putting themselves in harm's way. They wield a spear made from pure steel with a dragon head sculpted on the tip, with the nose of the dragon head being the sharpest point. The mouth of the dragon head emits a faint purple glow, and when pointed can spew out a purple flame at any enemies. More importantly, when the spear is impaled into something or someone, it begins to pump pure unstable fire energy into it. This energy builds up, and when they pull their spear out, the energy explodes, the strength and size of the explosion dependent on how long the spear was impaled into the target. They can also personally breathe fire, use shadow magic, and strike with their claws to fight. Luca possesses a massive large of stamina and strength, leading them to usually head the pack.

Harper is a younger moth from the industrial city of Centralia who comes from a family of botanists, which is the norm for moth society. While he still holds a great love for tending plants and nature's beauty, his true passion lies in anything and everything mechanical. Starting from his childhood years, he was fascinated by machinery, spending hours upon hours digging into any tech he could get his hands onto. His curiosity led himt to leave Centralia, venturing out and discovering all Northreach had to hide. His journey led him to the town of Mapleton, where he would end up meeting Ruby, a frost mage who he caught feelings for at first sight. They would grow close and begin dating, his energy and her shy presence balancing each other out. Harper tends to be full of (sometimes a bit too much) enthusiasm, especially to those he knows well, loving to show his latest creations to anyone who is near. As of now, he still isn't 100% sure what is ultimate goal is and would rather just go with whatever life brings to him. A skilled engineer, he excels at making even the smallest piece of scrap into something great. His workshop is a controlled chaos of all manner of tools and blueprints. Among his best creations are his shield bubble generators, automated turrets, scrap grenades, and his pride and joy - the Clockshot II, a clockwork rifle equipped with a bright light at the tip. His insistence on light extends beyond his gun, as his pressure-resistant suit has slots for lightbulbs to fit in right on the shoulders. He has good reason for so many light sources - in the absence of light, his bubbly demeanor melts away to agitation, or perhaps even aggression if left in the dark too long.

One of the biggest dorks you may ever meet, Ruby is a very timid Firepaw and lover of all things cold. She will keep her room ice cold even in the coldest parts of winter. Despite her shyness, she adores contact and is a huge cuddler, perhaps slightly using her extremely cold room as an excuse to get closer to her friends. She was born and raised in Mapleton to a family who ran a small shop. Despite being a Firepaw, who rarely grow taller than 5 feet, Ruby grew to well over 6 feet tall and towered over her family and peers, creating feelings of self-consciousness within her. She found solace in the Mapleton Library for Magical Arts, becoming a huge bookworm and spending hours reading books, usually those about frost magic and great ice storms of history - her favorite topics. Under the direction of the head librarian Talia, she would practice basic spells and discover a passion for magical arts on top of everything else. This culminated in her attending the Luna Lacus Academy for Arts and Magic, where she specialized in frost magic. She would end up graduating with average marks, returning home and finding what she thought would just be a temporary job at the old library she spent hours in, working under the same librarian who sparked her passion when she was younger. She enjoyed the position, but as time went on it began to feel less temporary and more like what her life would be like as no big opportunities would arise. Her life began to take a turn when she met Harper, a nerdy, charismatic Mothling stopping in Mapleton after traveling the country adventuring and exploring. Talia is an older skylark loon with a deeply intellectual and inquisitive soul. Her obsession with wanting to know everything this world has to offer has led her to becoming a massive bookworm and the head librarian at the small, local arcane library in Mapleton. She is known for her adept prowess in the magical arts along with her attention to detail. Her skills in the arcane arts are unmatched, being able to almost win any magical duel with ease due with help from her spells such as arcane bolts, explosions, and barriers, mirror images, curses, and more. Despite this, her most glaring weakness is her weak form, making her a glass cannon of sorts in combat. She also uses her magic for less offensive reasons to do things such as help sort around the library, perform magic shows for local youth, and just to generally do good. Fighting is a last resort for Talia. Talia is very, very patient and inviting, willing to show anyone interested in the arcane arts the ropes or to share her wide breadth of knowledge with anyone who asks. Her deeply bright mind shines through in her passion for writing poetry, stories, and her love of linguistics, having written many books in many different languages. Sometimes, her willingness to be very open and willing to help may come at a cost as she can inadvertently allow herself to be taken advantage of.

Artemis is from the city of Anchor Inlet, just east of Portland, where she grew up with the sea and a family legacy of mariners and wielders of light. A warm, nuturing soul, Artemis is driven by an unending desire to help who she can and heal a hurting world. However, her years in the Northreachean Army as a combat medic have left her with a fuse shorter than she likes to admit, and she doesn't take being talked back to well. Following in the footsteps of her father's side of the family, Artemis has spent her entire life to harnessing the power of light. When it came time to choose her pathway, she found herself best suited on the frontlines, using a sword and shield to protect her allies while offering them aid. Thus, she became a Paladin, continuing her training at the Tower of Light and enlisting in the Northreachean Army as a combat medic. Her bravery and skills easily earned her the reputation of a lifesaver, and she rose quickly through the ranks. As conflicts continued to die down and the region came over relatively peaceful times, she was granted the opportunity to step away from her duties for the time being. She relocated to Mapleton, longing for a quieter life, where she met Lucalia, a dragonkin full of mystery that emenated with shadow magics and feelings of being lost. Drawn to their suffering, she took them in, offering them warmth and understanding. Lucalia would slowly open up to Artemis over time, telling them about their past life and how they were the same Lucalia her great-grandparents had fought against all those years back. Kaylee, a sly and quick-witted Nekidae, comes from the northern forests of Kiteken. Deception, luck, and trickery are her tools of the trade; her sickly-sweet personality fooling others who are unable to sense the bitter hint of sarcasm that lies underneath her words. A delinquent growing up in less-fortunate family, she would indulge in petty crimes like pickpocketing for both the thrill and to help them scrape by. As she grew older, her crimes escalated. She would break into local shops and stores, sowing the greater riches and greater notoriety it would bring. Her profile became big enough to the point that she was becoming one of the most wanted figures in the region, forcing her by her 20s to leave for the noisy Surfside City in Northreach. Only a year or so after moving, and before her crimes could escalate to such levels again, she would be faced with an experience to close a call to death and the authorities that would cause her to rethink her reckless actions. Even though she vowed to ease up on her thieving side, she could no longer show her face safely in Surfside anymore, forcing her once again to move to Mapleton with what little she had left. She now lives a life balancing legitimate part-time work questing with the Adventurer's League with smaller schemes like rigging gambling tables and light pickpocketing on the streets. Kaylee is an amateur magic user, self-teaching herself in her youth. Her favorite type of magic is that of luck magic, bending chance to her will and putting the odds in her favor wherever possible. In combat, she uses this magic along with a set of kunai and an enchanted deck of playing cards on her torso. The cards are as random as they are powerful, capable of such things like healing friends, damaging enemies, inflicting a manner of magical effects, altering forms, and more. As a lefty, she holds her kunai in her left and draws her cards with her right. Along with her conventional magic, she uses her sleight of hand and "magic tricks" to deceive her foes. She carries a kit with her containing objects like trick coins, magnets, loaded die, and hidden strings.
